sit down to a platter of chuck berry on chess
listenin’ for the grooves thru the scratches and hiss
i’ll tell ya something youngin’
you ain’t heard nothing like this
and the world keeps spinnin’ round
after school special or new jukebox hits
when i put the needle down
it sure stands the test
LONG PLAYER….LONG PLAYER
driving 14 hours in the blinding snow
for a show up in buffalo
trying to keep warm in the back of the van
listen to the rhythm of the highway
catch a wink if you can
now you might have never heard my name
ain’t in it for fortune ain’t in it for fame
LONG PLAYER
that’s what i am
LONG PLAYER
now ride sally ride
while I play my bottleneck slide
now all you women form a line
don’t dance with more than two at one time
now sugar is sweet
down n dirty is this song
packed in nice n tight tonight
and you know that i’m a
LONG PLAYER
that’s what i am
thank you m’am

HEY WHO’S THAT ON THE PHONE ?
IT’S YOUR UNCLE ED ON THE LINE
HE SAID, 'HEY HELLO, HOW ARE YOU'
I’M FEELIN OLD BUT I’M DOIN’ FINE’
I DON’T HAVE MUCH EDUCATION
I WORK MY FINGERS TO THE BONE
YOU AND ME MIGHT NOT SEE EYE TO EYE
BUT THERE’S NO NEED TO STAY AT HOME
CAUSE ITS A SUNNY DAY
YES IT IS
YOU GOTTA KEEP ON MOVIN/ RIDIN/ ROLLIN
YES IT IS
TOO MUCH INFORMATION
NO WONDER WHY WE’RE ALL CONFUSED
TOO MUCH CHATTER, CHATTER, CHATTER
YOU HARDLY KNOW WHAT TO DO
YOU KNOW THE WORLD IS CHANGING
I KNOW I'M CHANGING TOO
YOU CAN TURN THAT FROWN UPSIDE DOWN
YOU KNOW ITS UP TO YOU
CAUSE IT’S A SUNNY DAY
HEY NOW, HEY HEY NOW
PEOPLE DO WHAT THEY WANNA TO DO
HEY NOW, HEY HEY NOW
YESTERDAY’S GONE, BUT THIS MUCH IS TRUE-
IT’S A SUNNY DAY

Gypsy Caravan
03:47
|
|||
I got a dream, a dream to share with you
And right now is the right time
Cause it's gonna take a lifetime to come true
I know what we need, is a good ole "man to man"
With all of us here ridin on a gypsy caravan.
So throw me the keys,we're goin for a drive
Tell our sisters and our brothers
To be waitin for us on the other side
We'll sing and we'll dance, to our favorite band
While we're out here ridin on a gypsy caravan
On a gypsy caravan
We are riding on a gypsy caravan
and we're goin to that sacred home on high
where we'll all be together by and by
here we are, gazin at the stars
beneath the hemisphere, wonderin why we're here
But there's a song, poundin in our hearts
Ringin from the mountains
Flowin from the fountains in the park
And God only knows, but we believe he has a plan
For all of us here ridin on a gypsy caravan
We're all out here ridin on a gypsy caravan
On a gypsy caravan
We are ridin on a gypsy caravan

Still Runnin'
05:55
|
|||
THESE SHOES HURT MY FEET
CAUSE I'VE BEEN WALKING FOR MILES
FROM PHILLY TO BOSTON
AND TOWNS I MUSTA GOT LOST IN
I’M DEEP IN MY TROUBLES AND TRIALS
AIN’T IT FUNNY HOW THE TIME GOES
AIN’T IT FUNNY HOW THE WINDS BLOW
WEARING MY RESISTANCE DOWN-
BUT IM STILL RUNNING
I’M STILL RUNNING
MOTHER TALK TO ME
THERE’S A RINGING IN MY EARS
I JUST WANT TO BE NEAR YOU
BUT I CAN’T HEAR YOU
I’M BROKE DOWN ALMOST BEYOND REPAIR
AIN'T IT FUNNY HOW TIMES CHANGE
WHILE THE GOOD THINGS STILL REMAIN
YOU CAN’T KEEP A GOOD MAN DOWN-
I'M STILL RUNNING
I’M STILL RUNNING
LATE AT NIGHT WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES
I SMILE BECAUSE I'M FREE
A HUNDRED MILES TO GO
AND I WATCHED THEM SLIP AWAY INTO THE SEA
THE DEEP BLUE SEA
AND I'M STILL RUNNIN'

Look Up
02:36
|
|||
look up
things are gonna get get better
when you feel like tossing it in
won't you stop think again
take a minute and then look up
look up
the sun will soon be shining
this life is not for pining away
you may not feel that great
so it's better to say look up
goodbye sadness and woe
it's time to let go of these
hello to bright sunny days
and finding new ways to say
look up
hello to bright sunny days
and finding new ways to say
goodbye sadness and woe
it's time to let go
of these and
look Up
things can only get better
when you feel like tossing it in
stop think again
take a minute and then look up

Long Gone
04:21
|
|||
Early to rise, there's work to be done
Open my eyes to the blazin sun
Sure don't see any sign of rain
Yonder come the rumble of the morning train
I stand watchin from my kitchen door
She didn't look back, she just got on board
I listen to the whistle whine til it's long gone long gone
Carry my baby on down the line singin so long so long
I first saw her at the Livermore fair
She looked right thru me like there's no one there
I could see the miles on her gypsy face
I knew she could use her a restin place
So we got married by the preacher in town
But a ring on her finger couldn't hold her down
I listen to the whistle whine til it's long gone long gone
Carry my baby on down the line singin so long so long
Simple man, he don't have no dreams
Two strong hands, that's all he needs
The harder you work, the less you have to think
Get ya too much weight, boy you're bound to sink
That old heart of mine was gettin in the way
So it went out on the train that day
I listen to the whistle whine til it's long gone long gone
Carry my baby on down the line singin so long so long
Early to rise, there's work to be done
Open my eyes to the blazin sun
Sure don't see any sign of rain
Yonder come the rumble of the morning train

Railroad Line Revisited
04:40
|
|||
I’M GOING TO HEAVEN
ON A RAILROAD LINE
AND I’M ON MY WAY
I’M GOING TO HEAVEN
ON A RAILROAD LINE
AND I’M ON MY WAY
NO MORE HEARTACHE
NO MORE TEARS
I HEAR THAT WHISTLE BLOWING
LOUD AND CLEAR
I’M GOING TO HEAVEN
ON A RAILROAD LINE
AND I’M ON MY WAY
NO MORE SCREAMING
IN MY HEAD
AND I WON’T BE LONELY
IN MY BIG OLD BED
I FOUND TRUE LOVE
JUST IN TIME
AND SHE’S ON HER WAY

Home Again
02:56
|
|||
when the clock strikes backwards
and you’re spinnin' ‘round
then you wake up
back in your hometown
everybody that was gone will be back around
when we go home again
and i will see aunt mary and my brother too
the radio in the kitchen
sounds just like new
and the good guys playing
all the hits for you
when we go home again
and we’ll see all of our friends
the way they looked back then
it will only be that way for a day
when we go home again
and my dad will there and his hair will be thick
he’ll show me some chords how to hold the pick
and he won’t get older and he won’t get sick
when we go home again
grandpa and barney brass
cousin johnny taking photographs
ma’s made supper
now hurry fast
cause we are home again
when the clock strikes backwards
and you’re spinnin' ‘round…

MOTOWN MO RODE INTO TOWN
ATOP A SWAY BACK MARE ON SACRED GROUND
A MAN SAID THE KLAN'S GONNA BRING YOU IN
MO SET A FIRE, LET THE GAMES BEGIN
CAUSE IT’S A VOODOO MOON
IT’S VOODOO MOON
IT’S A VOODOO MOON IN THE AIR TONIGHT
GONNA TAKE THE 6:10 TO NEW ORLEANS
WITH THE MEANEST CREW THAT YOU EVER SEEN
SOME IN THEIR CUPS WITH THEIR SOULS UNBOUND
HOWL LIKE WOLVES WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN
CAUSE IT’S A VOODOO MOON
IT’S VOODOO MOON
IT’S A VOODOO MOON IN THE AIR TONIGHT
GETTIN’ OUTTA HERE WHILE THE GETTIN’ GOOD
SOME PEOPLE SAY I’M MISUNDERSTOOD
IF I’M THE LAST MAN STANDING, YOU’LL DO AS I SAY
I SAY OH NO GET OUT OF MY WAY
CAUSE IT’S A VOODOO MOON

IT’S A VOODOO MOON IN THE AIR TONIGHT

Who Has More Fun Than Us
02:48
|
|||
Clear the cobwebs, sweep the dust
Tonight we're feelin marvelous
Hey tell me boys, who has more fun than us.
Call us fast, furious
Just don't take us serious
So tell me boys, who has more fun than us
Hurry mama, don't be late
Brother Jon can hardly wait
to kick those blues under the bus
Who has more fun than us
Hurry mama don't be late
Brother Sal can hardly wait
To kick those blues under the bus
Who has more fun than us

ANGEL RIDER
IN THE SETTING SUN
WILL YOU HOLD ME CLOSER
YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE
ALL THE LONELY FACES
THEY COME AND GO- NOW THAT I KNOW
ANGEL RIDER, RIDE WITH ME
DOWN THIS LONG ROAD
CAN YOU FORGIVE ME
FOR THE THINGS I’VE DONE
BECAUSE NOTHING IS EASY
EVERY DREAM HARD WON
LIFE IS ALL AROUND YOU
IT COMES AND GOES
AND THAT’S HOW I KNOW
ANGEL RIDER, STAY WITH ME
ON THIS LONG ROAD HOME
ANGEL RIDER, STAY WITH ME
ON THIS LONG WAY HOME
